Mark Zuckerberg's 6000-Word Plan to Save the World from Trump

Initially, Zuckerberg said the idea of Facebook influencing the election was "pretty insane".

His note also spoke extensively about the spread of information on Facebook, including so-called "fake news".

In a 5,700-word manifesto, Zuckerberg, founder of the world's largest social network, quoted Abraham Lincoln, the USA president during the country's 19th century Civil War known for his eloquence, and offered a philosophical sweep that was unusual for a business magnate. In the past, Facebook only reviewed content that was reported by other users, which is a flawed system since it can take hours for someone to report, say, live-stream of a person's suicide or a post about a terrorist threat.

Of these, four North Koreans have been named: Ri Ji Hyon, 33; Hong Song Hac, 34; O Jong Gil, 55; and Ri Jae Nam, 57. Investigators say they need to get in touch with Kim Jong-nam's next of kin to help formally identify the body.

In a wide-ranging essay of almost 6,000 words, the 32-year-old CEO wrote that until recently a more connected world was viewed as positive, "yet now, across the world there are people left behind by globalization, and movements for withdrawing from global connection". "We hope to begin handling some of these cases in 2017, but others will not be possible for many years", he wrote.

"In recent campaigns around the world - from India and Indonesia across Europe to the United States - we've seen the candidate with the largest and most engaged following on Facebook usually wins", Zuckerberg wrote, highlighting a phenomenon that India knows all too well. "Yet now, across the world there are people left behind by globalization, and movements for withdrawing from global connection".

Facebook promises it will build better AI technology to fight terrorist propaganda without censoring news about terrorists. "Over time, our community will identify which sources provide a complete range of perspectives so that content will naturally surface more".

Dolphins released DE Mario Williams, OT Brandon Albert
Albert was the first guard taken in the 2008 NFL Draft , as well as the second Virginia Cavalier (behind No. 2 pick Chris Long). Albert is going to lose his job to Laremy Tunsil , and it seems like Williams has become less and less useful as time goes on.

"Progress now requires humanity coming together not just as cities or nations, but also as a global community", he wrote. "For the past decade, Facebook has focused on connecting friends and families", Zuckerberg wrote. This includes looping users into decisions made regarding the removal of controversial material from the site, something for which Facebook has been criticized again and again.

Quoting from a letter Lincoln wrote to Congress in the depths of the Civil War, he wrote to Facebook's 1.9 billion users, "The dogmas of the quiet past, are inadequate to the stormy present". "At each step, we built social infrastructure like communities, media and governments to empower us to achieve things we couldn't on our own". He also addressed numerous criticisms Facebook has recently faced, including the prevalence of fake news and harmful content on the site, as well as its role in cases of possible terrorism, natural disasters and other issues.

If you're curious to read Zuckerberg's full letter, you can find it on his Facebook page.
