Twitter No Longer Counts Usernames In Replies Against 140 Limit

Twitter announced the change via a blog post that was tweeted out by the official account. Twitter made an announcement last May that it would be making changes that would let people use more of their assigned 140 characters per Tweet for the content they would be choosing instead of an infrastructure of the Twitter. Users can tap on "Replying to..." to see and control who's part of any specific conversation. It'll work the same way if you reply to more than two persons.

- If your reply has four Twitter handles and the you want to remove 3, you will have to uncheck three boxes to do so in the new reply feature. INC acknowledge removing replies from the character limit is a step in the right direction but said it doesn't solve the problem of getting new users to join the social network.

Selena Gomez was the style star of the 13 Reasons Why premiere at Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles on Thursday. So, if you're going to wear bright orange shadow, opt out of wearing a lip color, or else it will be too much.

Sociology professor Tressie McMillan Cottom wrote in a Medium post that some Twitter users often respond to racist messages targeting her on the platform but choose to delete her in their reply tweets. And now, when the username too is freed from being a part of the tweet, Twitter will certainly become more eloquent and meaningful. According to Twitter, this change will make things less cluttered as it will allow you to focus on the discussion "rather than seeing lots of @usernames". The new mechanism for mentions and replies that Twitter has rolled out does make it unnecessarily complicated to carry out conversations.

Twitter has made this a great day for countless Twitter users who feel suffocated by the 140 character limit.

SpaceX launch of pre-flown booster 'exciting step forward,' SES CTO says
The first stage of the Falcon rocket being tested today launched an ISS resupply mission almost a year ago. The company has said that the turn-around time for reuse is actually closer to four months.

The new update comes as part of Twitter's push to give users more flexibility to interact and share messages whist still sticking to its signature 140-character limit. Rule or no rule, the microblogging company remains one of the biggest platforms for millions of people to tweet their views all day.

Like the speed limit on a highway, breaking the character limit on Twitter can be done - you just have to pick your spots. "We make the time and take the time necessary for the people using the product and also our advertisers, and the revenue follows". It could also keep users on the site longer, which Twitter badly needs. Twitter does not officially raise the character limit, but stops counting username in character limit.
