Company recalling more than 25000 child car seats

No injuries have been reported in association with the harness defect

News of the recall came on the same day as a free auto seat safety check, from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m., at the Missouri Department of Transportation, 3602 N. Belt Highway in St. Joseph.

Graco is recalling more than 25,000 vehicle seats which may not protect your child in the event of a crash. The model impacted is the Graco My Ride 65 convertible child restraint. The agency found that children who are not appropriately restrained are at an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Graco reportedly will replace the harnesses free of charge. Customers that own My Ride 65 products included in the recall can call the company at 1-800-345-4109.
