A Mexican national charged in a San Diego, California, vehicle crash that badly injured a 6-year-old boy was in the country illegally and had been deported at least 15 times, US immigration officials said on Wednesday. He was arrested in 2009 and twice in 2011 for driving with a suspended license and was charged with a DUI in 2009.
