The Latest: Police now say 9 killed in serial shootings case

United States police have arrested a suspected serial killer in connection with a number of shootings that terrorised Phoenix and left several people dead or injured. On Monday, they raised the number of people killed to nine and said there were 12 total shootings - with the first one happening in 2015.

CBS affiliate KPHO-TV reports that Police Chief Jeri Williams said 23-year-old Aaron Juan Saucedo is linked to nine murders and 12 incidents between August 2015 and July 2016, which is three more attacks and two more murders than originally thought.

For more than a year, Phoenix police were stumped by a string of killings in which a shooter stalked victims after dark and gunned them down as they stood outside their homes or sat in their cars.

"They had a clear mission: bring this killer to justice and get it right".

Their share is forecast to continue to rise and to see more consolidation from the smaller companies in the coming year. Apple's share of this super-premium segment remains at 80%, with five out of the top ten model SKUs belonging to Apple.

Saucedo was first taken into custody on April 19 for the murder of 61-year-old Raul Romero, who was shot multiple times on August 16, 2015 in the driveway of his home, according to ABC15. Authorities investigated Saucedo more closely and connected him to the serial killings.

Investigators initially believed a serial shooter was responsible for seven deaths past year, but in recent weeks they determined two other victims were also shot by the same gunman, who they believe to be Saucedo, including the victim killed in August 2015.

Phoenix police have zeroed in on Saucedo as the killer, and one witness reported that the killer was driving a black BMW, a vehicle fitting that description, belonging to Sausedo, has been seized by Phoenix police.

Police said they investigated whether Saucedo might be the so-called Phoenix freeway shooter, believed responsible for nearly 12 incidents, none of them fatal, on Interstate 10 in 2015.

Police said they have not identified a motive but believe Saucedo acted alone.

But in a odd quirk, the Department of Public Safety said Saucedo's gun from the killing of his mother's friend had been test-fired as part of the freeway shooting probe.

"The fact of them finding somebody, at least it was some type of news", Smith said.

Jesse Olivas, 22, was shot dead on the street on January 1, 2016. In the most recent attack on July 11, 2016, a 21-year-old man and his 4-year-old nephew escaped injury after the gunman shot at a vehicle they were sitting in.
