DUP talks not going as expected - Sky sources

Theresa May's plan to axe universal free school meals for four- to seven-year-olds has been dumped from the Queen's Speech.

It is also expected to include measures on domestic violence and vehicle insurance.

The Queen's Speech was also dropped in 2011 under David Cameron's then-coalition government.

It means some manifesto pledges are likely to be scaled back or scrapped.

The Conservatives delayed this year's Queen's Speech as the party held discussions with the DUP to thrash out an agreement on propping up the minority government.

What the Amazon-Whole Foods Deal Means for Your Grocery Bill
Amazon and Whole Foods have the combined power to engage in low cost pricing - something mom and pop shops certainly can't do. The sale still needs approval from whole foods shareholders but the deal is expected to be wrapped up later this year.

The Queen's Speech on Wednesday will include three bills created to funnel investment into major transport infrastructure created to help Britain boom after leaving the European Union.

If May is unable to win a vote on the Queen's speech next Thursday it would be taken as a vote of no confidence and likely end her attempt to form a government to lead the country through two years of arduous negotiations on leaving the EU.

MPs will begin debating its contents in the afternoon.

The intervention comes after Brexit Secretary David Davis was seen to have been dealt a blow in the opening day of withdrawal negotiations with the European Union, after it was agreed trade deal talks would not begin until October at the earliest. Further information on the Great Repeal Bill can be found in the Government's white paper.

"The UK will spend the next two years preparing for our departure from the European Union in a way that best places us to realise the opportunities ahead and build a fairer society". He said: "Talks are going on but one thing I'm absolutely certain about is the DUP don't want to see another election and Jeremy Corbyn in Downing Street".

WH: Trump's Cuba Policy Meant to Empower the Cuban People
"I was excited not only because it is the closest Caribbean island to the US , but it also opens a window into a new culture". Only group-organized, people-to-people travel for educational purposes will continue to be authorized.

May is promising a government "that consults and listens".

The decision, taken by the Prime Minister, also means there won't be a Queen's speech in 2018, and that the next one won't take place until after the projected date for Brexit in Summer 2019.

These could include controversial plans to reform adult social care funding, axe the winter fuel allowance for well-off pensioners and expand grammar schools.

Of 27 Bills and draft bills unveiled in her first Queen's Speech, eight are devoted to the complex process of withdrawal from the EU, including a Repeal Bill to overturn the 1972 Act which took Britain into the European Economic Community and separate Bills on customs, trade, immigration, fisheries, agriculture, nuclear safeguards and the worldwide sanctions regime. However, the Conservatives appear to have the numbers to get theirs through the Commons.

Party leader Tim Farron said: "This is a government with no clue, no direction and no mandate".
