Escaped inmates captured in Tenn., governor says

Donnie Russell Rowe Ricky Dubose

Two escaped inmates who killed two Georgia Department of Corrections Officers in Middle Georgia have been caught.

Authorities took Dubose and Rowe into custody in Christiana, Tenn.

"They will be brought to justice swiftly for their heinous crime against our Officers", he said, also expressing gratitude to all of the law enforcement officers who provided support and assistance in the search for the two men. Now authorities also are searching for a 2008 white Ford F250 pickup truck with the Georgia tag BCX-5372.

Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills said Thursday that the reward for information on the fugitives had been increased to $130,000.

Sills calls Rowe and Dubose "two serious, dangerous, vicious hoodlums". 'I've worked in law enforcement in this state in some capacity for 44 years and I can tell you today, there has never been a reward that large, ' Sills said, FBI Atlanta Special Agent in Charge David LeValley said people throughout the state and country should be looking for the inmates.

Donnie Russell Rowe and Ricky Dubose are the inmates accused of shooting and killing two Georgia correctional officers in Putnam County. One of them fatally shot both guards, and then they jumped out and carjacked a driver who pulled up behind the bus on a rural highway and fled in his vehicle, Sills said.

Lyft joining forces with Jaguar Land Rover in tech venture
The Lyft investment was included as part of the company's most recent round of fundraising , which closed in April. A week ago, Lyft announced it was teaming up with Cambridge, Mass. -based self-driving auto startup nuTonomy .

Thirty to 40 minutes later, the camera showed them driving past in the pickup, Sills said.

Authorities say the men overpowered the guards, killing them with their own weapons, before fleeing the bus near Eatonton, about 70 miles southeast of Atlanta early Tuesday.

Authorities urged the public to be vigilant, and warned against approaching them.

Sills said the two inmates got a head start by taking and tossing the Honda driver's cellphone and locking the other 31 prisoners inside the bus.

After their bloody jailbreak, the two convicts were spotted in the town of Madison where they broke into a house and helped themselves to clothes that would make them less noticeable.

At around 7:55 p.m. ET Thursday, authorities have confirmed that the two inmates were spotted in Shelbyville, Tennessee, about an hour south of Nashville.

Now Cleveland , which past year became the first team to recover from a 3-1 Finals deficit, faces historically long odds again. In Game 3, Green aroused some concern when he began complaining about a foul call to a referee and Curry did the same.

Baldwin State Prison inmates were being transferred to another facility when two of them apparently got through a barrier in the transport bus, overpowered the guards and got a gun.

Both escapees committed armed robbery and other crimes.

They are considered armed and risky.

"Both officers were known for their unwavering commitment to their job and their love of family", the Georgia Department of Corrections said in a statement.

Dubose is serving a 20-year sentence for armed robbery, aggravated assault and theft from a 2014 case.

"It has become a nationwide search for these two individuals", he said.
