Ben Affleck addresses rumors that he's out as Batman

The studio is working on plans to usher out Affleck’s Batman gracefully a source says addressing the change in some shape or form in one of the upcoming DC films

The actor responded to recent rumors that he's leaving the part ahead of the Matt Reeves-directed The Batman at San Diego Comic-Con, firmly denying the idea that he would leave the role. "Marvel. I'm so thrilled to do it".

Exactly when and how that might happen has yet to be determined, but it would be wise to bet against Affleck starring in The Batman. Reeves has dropped a script by Affleck and Geoff Johns, and Affleck once was attached to direct himself. The actor shot down rumors that he would be hanging up his cape for the stand-alone Batman film, even though he recently ceded directing responsibilities. In an interview with Fandango, Reeves said he was thinking of a making a Batman trilogy, not just a single movie.

So for now The Batman is on track to keep moving forward and Ben Affleck will suit up as The Dark Knight yet again.

Ben Affleck has no time for reports that he wants to leave the role of Batman.
