'It' movie review: Sorry, Pennywise, there's too much clowning around

“It” Breaking Box Office Record For September Movies

Most of the horror in the movie appears during flashes of nightmare-induced visions, but each is disturbing and unsettling and are what make "It" a great early contender for the best horror movie of the season.

Stephen King's IT, an adaptation of his 1986 novel and a remake of the 1990 miniseries, follows seven kids knows as "The Loser's Club" during the summer of 1989 in Derry, Maine.

The former record for an R-rated horror movie opening weekend was "The Conjuring", with its 41 million USA debut in 2013 and the former biggest opening for a Stephen King movie was the psychological horror movie "1408" with 20.6 million US dollars in 2007. Muschietti's adaptation is also being split into two parts, with the first film running 135 minutes.

The book simultaneously unfolds the story of the adults in the present and their memories of what happened to them in the past.

After a biceps injury late in December turned out not to be a tear, there was hope Cravens would return, but he never did. Gruden did not address the media Sunday but will do so Tuesday. "We're here to support him", Swearinger said.

The report comes to us from /Film, who says producers Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg have already gotten to work on a sequel.

Actor Bill Skarsgård has joined the ranks of horror icons like Freddy and Jason with his terrifying portrayal of Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

Andy Muschietti has a knack for horror - he also helmed the enjoyable "Mama".

The R-rated movie is based on King's 1986 novel, which focuses on a group of friends in a fictional ME community that battles the small town's demon as kids.

More on It Chapter 2 as we learn it! Wow, the tone of this second film is certainly going to be different.

Moviegoers who see the new Stephen King movie "IT" may recognize a lot of similarities between the fictional city of Derry and the real city of Bangor.

Furthermore, the snappy, comical dialogue between the young cast - coupled with a cool 80s soundtrack - offers moviegoers some much-needed reprieve from the menacing villain that lurks around the corner.

"By jumping on the back of the excitement of the movies, we hope people will relate to our films and take on board their safety messages". If you have even a remote interest in having a blast at the cinema with your pals, go and watch this movie before even reading the rest of this review.
