Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.99 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $10.24 billion. Roche is also testing Tecentriq in combination with chemotherapy in NSCLC patients with high and low PD-L1 expression levels, while BMS is hoping that an all-comer trial looking at the combination of its two current immuno-oncology drugs - Opdivo and CTLA4 inhibitor Yervoy (ipilimumab) - could tip the balance in its favour once again. Employment remains steady in Florida as the state's jobless mark held at 4.7 percent for the fifth consecutive month. Sauk County fared better than the state average, which was 4 percent in August. The 5 percent rate was well below the 6.2 percent rate from September 2015. About 800 jobs were lost last month in education and health services, according to the Department of Labor. (more...)

There's little chance the OPEC cartel and nonmember Russian Federation could reach a deal that would result in lower oil production, despite market intrigue and a jump in crude prices as a result of talks of a possible agreement. AMID speculation NSW Premier Mike Baird will on Tuesday abandon his controversial greyhound ban, one of the industry's Central West leaders has offered to work with the NSW Government to secure racing's future in the state. The regime will include mandatory life bans and increased jail terms for live baiting and registering greyhounds for their entire lives.
